Aledo joins the Plan of Exhibition Spaces with the works of the artist Ina Mindiuz (12/07/2017)

The municipality of Aledo adheres to the initiative of Exhibition Plan of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment with a sample that includes the works of the Lithuanian artist and resident in the Region Ina Mindiuz.

The exhibition, entitled 'Interpretations', opens next Friday, July 14 at 9:00 p.m., and can be seen in the exhibition hall 'Torre del Homenaje' until July 30.

The exhibition gathers around 20 works of mixed technique and small format that mix painting and collage, inspired by the series of Picasso 'Las Meninas'.

In his works, Ina Mindiuz performs a reflexive exercise on the representation of contemporary portraiture.

The artist interprets 'Las Meninas' constructing with fragments of different materials another image displaced in time.

The aesthetics of his works includes the iconographies of contemporaneity to couple them on the compositional structure of the traditional portrait.

The director general of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, stressed that "Aledo is one of the 22 municipalities that until the end of the year will host the works of 60 local artists, giving visibility To their work, promoting the cultural fabric and spreading the new creations that are being generated in the Region. "

López-Briones said that "with this initiative we also make that the municipal exhibition spaces can complement the cultural offer that the municipalities program for these summer months."

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment has already organized since the launch of the Plan of Exhibition Spaces last May, nine exhibitions in different parts of the Region.

The Ina Mindiuz exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the first and last weekend of the month, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Trajectory

Ina Mindiuz, of Lithuanian origin and resident in the Region of Murcia, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Murcia, where she completed a Master's Degree in Production and Artistic Management.

Since 2014 he has been a member of the Association of Plastic Artists of Malaga.

He has exhibited in different countries, Spain, France, Lithuania, Latvia and Portugal, and has participated in more than 50 collective and individual exhibitions.

Between 2013 and 2014 she participated as an exclusive artist in the exhibitions organized by the EMMA Gallery in Madrid, Cordoba, Granada and Seville.

She is curator and independent cultural manager.

She is also the creator and manager of the international group of women artists 'Moterys Mene' (Women in Art).
