IU-Green asked the Minister of Public Works on the status of Aledo PGOM (27/05/2012)

IU-Greens presented at the Regional Assembly a question to the Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Seville, to explain what the situation is the City General Plan (PGOM) of Aledo.

In a statement, the training has indicated that the City has not yet responded to the arguments and suggestions presented to the public exhibition of PGOM by residents and IU-Greens, which ended last September.

The fact that eight months have passed without response is, according to IU-Greens, which the government team "gives reason to the organization when he said that the General Plan was too developmental and contained serious errors."

"Also, do not take into account the context of crisis because otherwise there would be no unemployment in the region of Murcia and we would all be built 500 homes a year in Aledo."

In this sense, IU-Green recalls that of Aledo PGOM provided for the construction of over 15,500 homes for 45,000 people in the next 30 years, in a municipality that currently has 1,053 inhabitants.

It also notes that the PGMO provides its urban development in the area where now stand some 2,000 hectares of grapes, one of the main drivers of the economy of the town, and moved the location thereof to the eastern , which adjoins Totana, and warns that this General Plan "are not sufficiently protected Aledo certain archaeological remains."
